The sixteen participants of the Collage Kalpa (collage craftsmanship) art workshop were all painters who had mature styles and ideologies. But they all readily responded to the challenge posed by artist Monirul Islam. The theme of Collage Kalpa was to free the imagination from the shackles of ordinary thought and embark on an exploration of new materials, new ways of combining things and new presentations.
