A Glimpse of our Collection
Abul Khair’s (Chair, Bengal Foundation) own acquisition, together with the Foundation’s collection, has over the years, created an art repository of many thousands of works by modern painters of the region. It is considered to be the largest and most significant repository in the country. The collection is being duly archived for future research and inquiry. Bengal Museum of Arts and Crafts, the first of its kind, is envisioned as a project in the near future to be built in the suburbs of Dhaka, where this substantive collection will be on public display.
Bengal Foundation also has a noteworthy collection of photographic, audio and video material from the nineties to the present, relating to visual artists, singers and significant cultural events. The material is being catalogued for future research, investigation and accession by the public.
