RFL Inspiring Women Awards Honour Luva Nahid Choudhury

To encourage women to aim for leadership roles, Bangladesh Brand Forum celebrated the achievements of 27 inspiring women this Women’s Day, 8 March 2015. Out of 350 nominations, three jury boards comprised of 20 members selected winners who reached remarkable heights in their own lives and set examples for others to follow.

A total of 31 awards were given in 15 categories and Luva Nahid Choudhury, the Director General of Bengal Foundation, was presented with the ‘Inspiring Female in Promoting Culture’ Award.

Luva Nahid Choudhury trained as an architect from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). She completed her Bachelor of Architecture in 1986 and graduated with remarkable results. Ms. Choudhury worked in the government service for a span of 10 years and went on to join Bengal Foundation in 1998 as its director. Today she is the Director-General of Bengal Foundation, Managing Director of Ice Media – one of Bangladesh’s leading publishing concerns – and a member of the governing board of BRAC.
