Bengal Foundation invites you to the launch of Ashim Dutta’s debut monograph entitled Mystic Modernity: Tagore and Yeats (Routledge, 2022, paperback edition 2023) at 7:00 PM on Thursday, 18 April 2024. “Ashim Dutta’s book”, as Professor Fakrul Alam has written in his review, “is long overdue, for the affinities between Tagore and Yeats that brought them together needed to be contextualized from a perspective considering contemporary mystical modes and transnational exchanges”. Professor Fakrul Alam and Professor Firdous Azim have agreed to speak on the occasion.

Ashim Dutta, M.A. (Dhaka and Montclair), Ph.D. (York, UK), is an Associate Professor of English at the University of Dhaka.
