Bengal Foundation exhibited two of Zainul Abedin’s artworks at Documenta 14 in Kassel, Germany. The exhibit featured two iconic ink drawings from the artist’s acclaimed famine sketch series. These artworks are from Abul Khair’s private collection and was presented to an international audience for the very first time.

Additionally, the exhibit also included Naeem Mohaiemen’s film Two Meetings and a Funeral (2017). The film was co-commissioned by Sharjah Art Foundation and JustFilms/Ford Foundation and is supported by Arts Council England, Tensta Konsthall (Sweden), and Bengal Foundation.

The exhibits remained open to the public from 10 June – 17 September, 2017.
