We would like to congratulate Mita Huq for being honoured with the Ekushey Padak, the second highest civilian award in Bangladesh.
Mita Huq is a renowned Rabindra Sangeet artist. She trained to sing under the guidance of maestros such as Late Wahidul Huq, Sanjida Khatun and Ustad Mohammad Hossain Khan. She has been a regular performer at Bangladesh TV and radio since 1977, and is a highest grade artist for both. Huq, throughout her career, has released more than twenty solo albums from Bangladesh and India. Her albums Amare Jodi Jagale Aji (2003), ChiraBandhu Chiranirbhar (2004) and Mukta Karo Bhay (jointly with other artists, 2008) were published by Bengal Foundation.
She is among twenty eminent people being honoured with the award for 2020.
