1st Anniversary of Jal Pore Pata Nore
Jal Pore Pata Nore is the first children’s magazine in the country to be published regularly in Braille. The publisher and the editorial board of the magazine shared their joy of its first anniversary with a group of differently abled children in a 3-day festival which was held from 29 to 31 January at Bengal Shilpalaya , Dhanmondi. The programme comprised of 2 days of workshops on theatre, story-telling, sculpture, painting and music, with a show of their talents on the last day. Children from six schools participated in the celebrations. An exhibition of the works of children was held in the premise.
The first Everest conqueror Musa Ibrahim attended the workshop on 30 Jan to share his experience. Social activist Begum Mumtaz Khalek, Freedom Fighter Laila Hassan and eminent painter Rafiqun Nabi (also Chairman of the editorial board of Jal Pore Pata Nore) joined the closing session on 31 January at 3 PM at Bengal Shilpalaya.
