Education and Teaching

1949 : Worked under the guidance of sculptor radosh Das Gupta.
1956 : Received Diploma in Sculpture from Govt College of Art & Craft, Calcutta. Awarded Gold medal for best work in Sculpture
1959 : Worked under the guidance of sculptor Sankho Choudhury, Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda, on Govt. of India Cultural Scholarship
1960 : Jnoied the Department of Sculpture, Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship, Calcutta, as Professor
1960 : Met masters Alberto Giacometti and Ossip Zadkine in Paris. Giacometti bought a small bronze sculpture for his personal collection
1962 : Interacted with Marino Marini, Henry Moore, Alberto Giacometti and Ossip Zadkine in Italy. One bronze sculpture lies in Henry Moore.
