Education: Graduated in Fine Arts, Institute of Fine Arts (presently Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University) 1968; Specialization in Graphics Lithography), Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Antwerp, Belgium, 1980. He was the Professor of Fine Arts at the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh from 1971 to 2010.

Present position: Dean, Department of Fine Arts, Shanto Mariam University.
