The naval master-carpenters of Bengal have laboured at their craft for thousands of years. The skilled designers and meticulous craftsmen of these country boats have handed down knowledge orally across generations. The exhibition narrated the story of how this age-old tradition was revived through the remarkable efforts of naval engineer Yves Marre and social activist Runa Khan.
