THE DHAKA PRINT CLUB SHOW

The Dhaka Print Club Show offered a window on the budding creativity of young print-makers gathered together by famed artist and printmaking teacher Rokeya Sultana. Members of the Dhaka Print Club are not united by common themes or artistic philosophy. The uncompromising sincerity of their approach is the common trait that binds them together.

From reflection on nature to the shipyards of Khulna, from the confidence given by prayer to the fear of being alone, the artists give us insight on what occupies their minds. The Dhaka Print Club Show was all about discovering new talents, different themes and rare techniques. A gallery dedicated to the newest forms of artistic expression, Bengal Art Lounge was delighted to propose this exhibition to the public.

The Dhaka Print Club Show ran from 25 October to 8 November 2014 and was open daily from 12 to 8pm. Ms. Rokeya Sultana gave a guided tour of the exhibition on Saturday 25 October at 5pm (entrance was free).
