Alliance Française de Dacca was more than enthusiastic when Kalidas Karmakar proposed to organise a workshop on etching technique. It is indeed a privilege to be able to offer to students of Fine Arts as well as to rising artists the possibility to get some part of the extensive knowledge of a master.

This workshop needed to put into motion a tremendous organisation. A lot of materials and tools had to be collected from France and from India as well. In this regard, the cooperation extended by the Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts was greatly appreciated and we thank them for co-organising this event.
