Satyajit Ray: Script to Screen

Nemai Ghosh has not only been the photo-biographer of the great cinema maestro Satyajit Ray but often the only link between the filmmaker and his larger audience in documenting and revealing those moments and perceptive insights that go in the making of a film and usually remain unrecorded. The exhibition ‘Sayajit Ray: From Script to Screen’ is an attempt where the photographer-artist Nemai Ghosh has culled an inspiring selection from the phenomenal archive of over 95,000 negatives collected over the years. The show, held in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rashahi, Tangail, Jessore and Mymensingh, was organized by Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts, National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, High Commission of India in Bangladesh and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
