To celebrate its 12th Anniversary and on the occasion of ’15th Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh 1212′ Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts had organised a ten-day group exhibition titled ‘Rooted Creativity XI’. The exhibition featured artworks of 12 eminent artists of forties and fifties including Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin, Anwarul Haque, Quamrul Hassan, S. M. Sultan. Mr. Abul Kalam Azad, MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, inaugurated the exhibition as the Chief Guest on Monday, 26 November 2012 at 5.30 pm. Mrs. Jahanara Abedin and noted art critic and Foreign Secretary of the Govt. of Bangladesh, Mr. Mijarul Quayes was present on the occasion as Special Guests.
