Quest for Harmony

For Noazesh Ahmed, photography was a lifelong passion. In his effort to depict the drama of human life he seemed to prefer the heightened conflict of colour. He photographed a wide range of subjects in locations spanning Hiroshima and Oman. Some of his most memorable work includes sensitive portrayals of Jibananada Das’ and Rabindranath Tagore’s works.
Noazesh Ahmed was born in 1935 at Manikganj. He was a leading agricultural scientist and served in many international organizations. He received the President’s Gold Medal in 1978 for outstanding contribution in the field of agricultural research. He won many international awards for photography including the Best Award at the first Photography Exhibition organised by the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in 1978. Noazesh Ahmed passed away in November 2009.
