The exhibition featured a series of photographs by Kashef in which he sought to equate the pain of losing a friend with losing green to concrete. An architect by profession, Kashef cast an oblique look at ‘development’ in the city. The photographs were taken at Plot 56 of Dhanmandi- one of the few remaining sites that had avoided the axe of speculators.
A book titled ‘Kashef Plot Number Fifty Six’ was published by Kashef on the occasion. The book is dedicated to the owners of Plot 56, artists Mohammad Kibria and Rekha Kibria, and arts patron Abul Khair.
