Nilufar (b. 1959) is a free lance designer of Bangladeshi origin who lives and works in Paris. In ‘Other Rhythm’ she explores the possibilities of traditional Jamdani motifs in the context of Pollock-inspired spontaneous brushwork on fabric. The show demonstrated how Nilufar’s multi-cultural exposure and multi-disciplinary training played an important part in the creation of her abstract, expressionist compositions.
