‘In an image-saturated world it is easy to assume we have seen it all. Yet Trent Parke’s photographs have an uncanny power that never quite lets you settle on a simple closed reading’- wrote Alasdair Foster on Trent Parke.
Born in Newcastle in 1971, Trent Parke, at the time of the exhibition, was the only Australian photographer represented by the celebrated Magnum group. Trent’s books, Dream/Life and The Seventh Wave, were among the top two in the Picture of the Year International in USA.
