Mine, Yours, His/Her’s
Omar Zafar’s show featured a blend of interactive paintings and sculpture. In this approach, Zafar replaced the usual canvas with a magnetic surface. Vinyl coated magnets were rearranged on the ‘canvas’ (the magnetic surface) by the viewer, giving shape to abstract forms. The themes surrounding ‘Creatively Interactive Painting’ were taken from the effects of contemporary cross cultural interaction. Omar Zafar was born in Dhaka in 1973. He graduated in Studio Arts from Clark University, USA in 1996.
