A noted artist of the 70’s and known for his expression through realism, Shahid Kabir’s artwork also eloquently reveals an international influence. Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts hosted a three week-long solo exhibition of the artist titled ‘I Bow My Head to You in Deep Obeisance’. Asaduzzaman Noor, MP, Hon’ble Minister for Cultural Affairs of the Govt. of Bangladesh, was present as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the exhibition at 6 pm on Wednesday, 12 March 2014. H. E. Luis Tejada Chacon, Ambassador of Spain to Bangladesh and Matiur Rahman, Editor of the Prothom Alo, were present as Special Guests. Abul Khair, Chairman of Bengal Foundation, presided over the function.
