Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts hosted a eight-day long painting and drawing exhibition titled, ‘His Light, His Shadow’ which featured works of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin, Quamrul Hassan, S. M. Sultan, Mohammad Kibria, Paritosh Sen, Shamsur Rahman, Humayun Ahmed, Mrinal Sen, Jogen Chowdhury, Ganesh Pyne and many other renowned Bangladeshi and Indian artists, poets and writers. Works displayed in the exhibition were selected from the private collection of renowned photographer Nasir Ali Mamun. Part of the sales proceeds was used for organizing Nasir Ali Mamun’s photoseum. Eminent educationist Professor Anisuzzaman was present as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the exhibition on 18 December 2012 at 6 pm while renowned artist Qayyum Chowdhury was present as the Special Guest.
