Through solid colours, broad lines and hints of white, Ali Imam’s canvases present to his viewers the unknown and the mysterious that lie hidden within the known. This perception is what makes him unique as an artist. His paintings do not point towards decline or destruction. They introduce a dynamic expression of human emotions. His work tells of stories within stories. Whatever he portrays human or animal they appear on his canvas not as simple depictions, but rather as characters. An exploration continues within his bold, intense colours. The sounds of a far-off land float in the airwaves, speed onwards like a strange meteor. He listens for it, his soul tries to follow it.
