Shako, meaning bridge, is an organisation of women artists involved in efforts to empower and improve the lot of women. ‘Colours of Shako’ brought together the works of 13 artists displaying a variety of individual talent and artistic sensibility.
The participants in the exhibition were Fareha Zeba, Farida Zaman, Farzana Islam Milky, Ferdousy Priyabhashini, Kanak Chanpa Chakma, Kuhu, Laila Sharmeen, Naima Haque, Nasreen Begum, Rebeka Sultana Moly, Selima Sharmin Ruma, Shulekha Chaudhury and Trina Bohan Tyrie.
