To commemorate our late colleague and trustee, Subir Choudhury’s life-long contribution to developing a support structure for young and emerging artists from Bangladesh, Bengal Foundation initiated the annual Subir Choudhury Practice Grant in 2015.

Artists Abir Shome and Eshita Mitra were awarded the Grant for the year 2015. An Open Studio had been organised to showcase their selected works.
Artist Shahid Kabir and Prof. Kazi Khaleed Ashraf, Director General of Bengal Institute for Architecture, Landscapes and Settlements, inaugurated the Open Studio.
