The British Council and Bengal Foundation organised the first ever staging in Bangladesh of award-winning contemporary dance solo, DESH, by Akram Khan. An 80 minute performance, DESH, presented the internal quandary of a vulnerable individual struggling to find his sense of place.
DESH was presented in collaboration with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
Due to unavoidable reasons, the date of ONLY the First SHOW of Akram Khan’s DESH was changed from Thursday 18 September, 2014, to Saturday 20 September, 2014. The performance of Friday, 19 September, 2014, remained completely unchanged.

Visitors were required to show their invitation at the gates of the venue.
