Bengal Foundation welcome you to ‘DeCoding Asian Urbanism’, an architecture symposium jointly organised by Bengal Foundation, Harvard University South Asia Institute, and A+D Museum, Los Angeles.
‘DeCoding Asian Urbanism’ seeks to explore the current discourse and creation of innovative architecture and urban interventions that are effectively transforming the spatial and operational landscape of the complex Asian city. The focus of the event is to highlight efforts that strategically embrace the rapid growth and the cultural and physical complexity of the built environment in Asia. ‘DeCoding Asian Urbanism will also feature an exhibition at the A+D Museum, Los Angeles, curated by Kenneth Frampton, Ken Yeang and Farooq Ameen. The comprehensive effort including the exhibition, symposium and accompanying publication aims to stimulate a dialogue between designers, policy makers and public officials who are shaping the Asian city today.

‘DeCoding Asian Urbanism’ was held from 28 – 29 October, 2016, at CGIS South, Tsai Auditorium S010, Harvard University, USA.
