Bengal Classical Music Festival 2014; the world’s largest classical music festival in terms of number of performers on a single stage, audience capacity and duration; presented by Square, was dedicated to Palli Kabi Jasimuddin in 2014. The Festival commenced all night, for 5 consecutive nights. The list of performers included names such as Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Vidushi Kishori Amonkar, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan, Kaushiki Chakrabarty amongst many more. The event was held from November 27 to December 1, 2014. Online registration commenced from 12:00 AM of November 3, 2014. To register online, visitors were required to log on to www.bengalfoundation.org. Booth registration began on November 7, 2014, at Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts (Dhanmondi), Aranya (Banani), The Daily Star-Bengal Arts Precinct (Farmgate), Kushol Centre (Uttara), from 12 PM to 7 PM (except on Fridays, where there was a break from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM). Mobile registration also began from 12:00 AM of November 3, 2014. To register via mobile, visitors were required to text ‘bengal’ to 6969.
