Bengal Classical Music Festival 2015
Bengal Classical Music Festival 2015, Bangladesh is presented by Square, supported by BRAC Bank and powered by Robi Axiata. The event is dedicated to artist Qayyum Choudhury. The world’s largest classical music festival in terms of number of performers on a single stage, audience capacity and duration, is being held this year with performers such as Pandit Balmurali Krishna, Ustad Zakir Hossain, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Guru Karaikudi Mani, Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, Ustad Rashid Khan, Ustad Shujat Khan, Dr. N Rajam, Vidushi Shubha Mudgal, Vidwan Radha and Raja Reddy, Vidushi Alarmel Valli amongst many more. The event will be held from November 27 to December 1, 2015, at the Army Stadium in Dhaka.
Security Instructions:
1. Please note that as per Dhaka Metropolitan Police instructions, no bags and/or cameras of any kind (except those installed in mobile phones) will be allowed inside the army stadium.
2. Please do not bring any bag with you to the army stadium during the 5 day festival.
3. There is no provision to leave bags at any counter and the organisers cannot take any responsibility for any bag being brought to the stadium.
4. The following instructions are for audience convenience:
5. Men are requested not to bring any item other than their mobile phones, wallets and keys, which may be carried in their pockets.
6. Women are requested not to bring purses larger than 10 inches by 6 inches, where they can bring their phones, keys and money. Any bag larger than this size will not be allowed inside.
7. No food and drink will be allowed to be taken inside.
8. All kinds of tobacco are prohibited.
9. Multiple re-entry will not be allowed. Re-entry more than once is strongly discouraged.
10. Cars will not be allowed inside so drop off may have to be at the gate on the main road. Special consideration will be made for the elderly.
