The Bengal Foundation welcomed the public to meet the artist, Niamul Bari at a talk and a discussion session which was held at Bengal Shilpalaya at 5 pm on Tuesday, August 19 2014.

Currently living and working in Brooklyn, New York, Bari has studied arts at a number of prestigious institutions in Bangladesh, India, and the United States, where he has lived since 1998. Through this varied, artistic journey Bari has worked with ceramic, sculpture, and since 2008, with paint, found objects and other materials, which he layers thickly onto canvas. The resulting works are dramatic, textured and laden with personal meaning.
