Graphic Anthology Meet
On June 19, 2014 the Bengal Foundation with British Council hosted a meet between the graphic artist community and writing community to discuss their upcoming Graphic Anthology project.
The first of its kind to be ever published in Bangladesh, the anthology was a compilation of short-stories told through the graphic medium. The anthology, published by Bengal Publications, was launched in the UK.
Graphic artists and writers interested in participating were invited to join in a discussion about the Graphic Anthology. It was an initiative to introduce the artists and writers interested in the project, and help facilitate a dialogue between them with hopes to foster stronger collaboration possibilities and clear lines of communications between artists, writers and the publisher.
The meet was a way to start a dialogue between those interested in the project. The event started with the panel talking about their vision for the Graphic Anthology and formally introducing the project. The panel announced the new deadline for submissions to be September 30, in light of the UK launch of the book in April 2015.
After the announcements, the floor was opened for questions from the audience.
