Mastercraftspersons Award Ceremony 2010
The Mastercraftspersons Award was initiated in 1989 by the National Crafts Council of Bangladesh with the objective of reviving traditional crafts, recognizing the value of the artisan and encouraging others to follow tradition. In 2010’s edition, National Crafts Council of Bangladesh and Bengal Foundation have jointly organized the Mastercraftspersons Award and a Crafts Fair.
The honourable Minister for Education of the Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid, has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest to give away the Awards and inaugurate the 5-day Crafts Fair at the Bangladesh National Museum on Saturday, 18th September 2010 at 6 p.m. Mr. Shamsuzzaman Khan, Director-General of Bangla Academy will be present at the function as the Special Guest.
