Sahid Kazi was born in Munshiganj, Bangladesh, in 1980. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka, in 2007, and went on to complete his master’s degree in 2009. His portraits and other works in mild impasto are evocative and sensuous. Kazi availed an overseas League Visual Art Scholarship in UK, in 2008. Kazi is presently teaching in the department of Drawing and Painting in the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. His works have been widely exhibited.
