Ain O Shalish Kendra (ASK) is a human rights and legal aid organisation which offers legal protection to the disenfranchised including women, children and the poor. The Child Rights Unit at ASK provides health education and legal protection to working children. ASK runs Drop-in centres in Dhaka where children can relax, play and learn with child centered methods. The media of general education is workshops, drama, music and art. Working children’s involvement in the arts is encouraged as a kind of learning and attainment of higher levels of creativity. The show presented artworks by children done in the common theme of ‘My Country’. Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts and ASk took the opportunity to showcase a wide selection of paintings by pomising young artists.
