Saleem (b. 1951, Mymensingh) is a Bangladeshi painter living in New York. After graduation from the Institute of Fine Arts in Dhaka in 1975, he did an advanced course in colour print in New York University. His abstract compositions have a striking impact with their bold, roughly geometric colour areas and unique contrasts between rugged texture and vibrant colour saturation.
Saleem was one of the five artists who represented Bangladesh at the Beijing Olympics Fine Arts Exhibition in 2008. He won the Tokyo National Centre Special Selection Award in 2007.
