Branches and Twigs
Ferdousy’s ability to discover and communicate the ineffable splendour of driftwood, cinder and dried weed, her long quest to interpret the natural forms of discarded objects in terms of real-life characters has given birth to a new genre of art in Bangladesh. Her deep compassion for the insignificant, the feeble, the ignored and the discarded lends her art great dignity and poeticism.
