Organized by Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts and British Council, the exhibition showcased 25 original lithograph prints of Henry Moore belonging to the Henry Moore Foundation.
The aim of this collaboration was to open up space for cultural dialogue between two countries. This was the first time ever original lithographic prints by Henry Moore were exhibited in Bangladesh. Better known for his sculpture, Henry Moore (1989-1986) was a prolific printmaker, excelling at etching, aquatint and lithography, especially in his later years when the heavy work of sculpture became onerous. Moore’s prints stand out for sharpness of detail, dynamism of form and his superior power of draughtsmanship.
