The film focuses on Kazi Ghiyasuddin’s work and his studio located in a quiet suburb in Savar. The artist?s house, designed by architect B K S Inan, offers a quiet play of light and shade, even at night. It provides the perfect foil to Kazi Ghiyas? rather sensitive use of colour. The artist is very responsive to the varying rhythms of rainfall and the variegated ways in which colours of the environment are filtered through the rain. His feelings are adequately expressed in the muted colours and quiet sensitivity of his work. Aired in Channel 1.
