To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts had drawn up a year-long programme that included a series of 10 group shows. The ninth exhibition of this series titled, ‘Rooted Creativity-9’ featured works by 10 leading artists of Bangladesh. Professor Rehman Sobhan, renowned economist and Chairman of the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), inaugurated the exhibition as the Chief Guest on Tuesday, 22 March 2011. Eminent artist Monirul Islam was present as the Special Guest. Mr. Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director of BRAC Bank Limited was present on the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

Programme : 6 pm, Tuesday, 22 March 2011 Bengal Shilpalaya Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts 275/F Dhanmondi, Road 16 (New) Sheikh Kamal Sarani, Dhaka 1209 The exhibition remained open until 31 March 2011, daily from 12 – 8 pm.
