Political and Economic Challenges of Good Governance in Bangladesh
A day-long national conference on "Political and Economic Challenges of Good Governance in Bangladesh" was held at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University on September 21, 2013. The conference was organized by the Bangladesh Political Science Shamity.
Former caretaker government chief, Justice Habibur Rahman inaugurated the seminar as the chief guest. The Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University AAMS Arefin Siddique, Professor Emirates Dr. Anisuzzaman, and Information Advisor to the Prime Minister Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury attended the discussion as special guests. The event also commemorated the late academic, Professor Abdur Razzaq, founder of the Bangladesh Political Science Shamity.
Chief guest, Justice Habibur Rahman, dedicated a posthumous lifetime achievement award honouring the contribution of Professor Abdur Razzaq to the field of academia. The award was accepted by the sister-in-law of Professor Razzak, Begum Momtaz Khalek, Trustee, Bengal Foundation and founder and Principal of Abdul Khalek Memorial School.
