Justice Muhammad Habibur Rahman passes away
Born on 3 Dec 1928, in Murshidabad, Justice Habibur Rahman played an important role in upholding the constitution as the Chief Advisor of the caretaker government in 1996. His efforts toward a free, fair and transparent election in the year 1996 were truly commendable. As an interpreter of the law and its practitioner, his skills as a lawmaker enabled him to uphold his duties during his tenure as the Chief Advisor. A man of varied passion, his research covering a wide spectrum of areas from literature to politics, and even theology and history demonstrated his intellectual prowess. He is also known to have dabbled in the art of poetry.The former Chief Justice and Chief Advisor to the caretaker government, Tagore enthusiast and poet, Muhammad Habibur Rahman passed away on the 11th of January 2014. He is survived by his wife and 3 daughters.
